Handmade ceramic vase created using saggar firing technique. During firing, natural patterns appear on the surface, formed by flame, minerals, and atmosphere inside the kiln. Each piece is unique and cannot be repeated.
The form is shaped by hand. The proportions are balanced and comfortable to look at. The surface has natural transitions of tone and marks that come directly from the firing process.
This vase has a calm, natural feel. It looks simple and solid, with a focus on material and texture. It fits well into different interiors and does not require additional decoration.
Saggar firing technique
Saggar firing is a ceramic firing method where the piece is placed in a closed container with natural materials such as leaves, salts, and minerals. During firing, these materials react with heat and create patterns on the surface.
The result cannot be fully controlled. Each piece comes out different, with its own marks and tones. This is what makes saggar ceramics unique.
Use
This piece works as both a decorative object and a ceramic vase. The opening is suitable for a single branch, dried flowers, or minimal compositions. It can also stand alone as a sculptural form.
